Tilo&Toni
Tilo&Toni, born in 1989 in Heidelberg, studied Fine Arts and Teaching at the University of Siegen and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, graduating with distinction from both institutions. Their work has been recognized with nominations for the Steenbergen Stipendium, NL and the European Photography Award, and has received a DAAD Scholarship, the Fotopub First Prize, and the North Rhine-Westphalia Award. They have exhibited internationally with solo shows at Malkasten Düsseldorf, Kunstverein Siegen, Condominio in Milan, Metronom in Modena, Studio Lütz in Leipzig, and the Museum für Gegenwartskunst Siegen, with upcoming exhibitions at LALO NORD in Wuppertal and Mare Karina in Venice. Their work has also been included in group exhibitions at Kunsthalle Zürich, Nederlands Fotomuseum Rotterdam, Photo London, Unseen Amsterdam, Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Fondazione Francesco Fabbri, Thames-Side Studios in London, and MoMA PS1 in New York, where they presented their first artist book. Alongside their artistic practice, Tilo&Toni teach at universities and art academies in Germany, Italy, and Slovenia, developing experimental seminar formats. In 2025, they were nominated for a guest professorship at the Universität der Künste Berlin.
