Kate Cooper
Kate Cooper is a British artist who lives and works in Amsterdam and London, where she is director and co-founder of Auto Italia, an artist-run organisation. Cooper’s work explores the position of the female body in the history of digital image technology, and the labour and politics inherent within its commercial reproduction.
Cooper was a Rijksakademie resident, Amsterdam in 2017; received the BEN Prize for Emerging Talent, B3 Biennial of the Moving Images, Frankfurt in 2015, and the Schering Stiftung Art Award, Berlin, in 2014.
Kate Cooper developed the programme of our Digital Practices class and was a practitioner for our students until 2022.
