Joram Kraaijeveld
Joram Kraaijeveld is a curator, creative producer, teacher, organizer and writer in the visual arts based in Amsterdam. With his work he aims to support active forms of solidarity within and beyond the arts. With artist and filmmaker Ana Bravo Pérez he developed the feminist, decolonial anti-monument If we remain silent, commemorating women social leaders on the frontlines of the climate crisis in Abya Yala. Joram is a theory teacher at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. He worked as a (guest) curator for SMBA, Van Abbemuseum, De Brakke Grond & Museum Dr. Guislain, Schloss Ringenberg, Metropolis M, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons, for various projects on topics such as mining, democracy and documentary films with artists and filmmakers such as Antonis Pittas, Yuri Ancarani, Ruti Sela, Simone Zeefuik, Quinsy Gario, Joris Ivens and Heddy Honigmann. He was director of artist association Platform BK, is committee member of CAWA, and member of broodfonds Sociale Dienst. His texts have been published in amongst others Metropolis M, Boekman and Court for Intergenerational Climate Crimes by Radha D’Souza and Jonas Staal.
