Beatrice Catanzaro
Beatrice Catanzaro is an artist, researcher and lecturer. She teaches at the NABA Art Academy (Milan) and the Accademia Unidee at Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto (Biella). She gained her PhD at Oxford Brookes University with the Social Sculpture Research Unit. Catanzaro’s practice-based research questions the matrix of hegemonic social structures and imaginaries through dialogical processes grounded in long-term engagements and interdisciplinary collaborations. She co-founded the Women Centre and Social Enterprise Bait al Karama in the Old City of Nablus, Palestine. Her work has been exhibited in museums and international venues such as MART Museum, Rovereto; Fundacao Gulbenkian, Lisbon; Espai d’Art Contemporani (EACC), Castellón; and Rome Quadriennale, Rome. She lives and works in Milan.
