Pat Janeiro

Pat Janeiro is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Rotterdam, NL. They grew up in the 80s in Lisbon, PT, and have a sociology and fine arts studies background. 

They work within a methodology of shared agency with a place, time and people. Their works are open to improvisation, reciprocity and interdependency. Recent projects include 16mm film projection installations and performances. Their work has been shown at DfbrL8r art gallery, Chicago; SAW-Sofia Art Week, Sofia; Kinosaurus, Jakarta; Baltic Analog Lab, Riga; IndieLisboa International Film Festival, Lisbon; Oberhausen Film Festival, among others.

In parallel, Janeiro has been working in Education since 2017 at Delft University of Technology, and more recently, worked as a study career coach and research project tutor at Willem de Kooning Academie. They are also an active member of WORM Filmwerkplaats, the only artist-run film lab in the Netherlands.
