Nastassja Nefjodov

Nastassja Nefjodov is a German-Russian multimedia artist living in the Netherlands.

She graduated from Fotoacademie Amsterdam in 2021, participated in FOTODOK’s Talent Development Program Lighthouse 2021/2022  and Talent Embassy 2023, is an active member of Work Show Grow School and The Visual Artist Collective,Paris.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, amongst others at Encontros da Imagem in Braga, Portugal and Athens Photofestival, Greece.

In her artistic practice she explore war-related trauma within her immediate surroundings, highlighting the complex connections between the past and her recent life. By sharing the stories of her loved ones, her work destigmatizes and opens conversations about the (generational) impact war has on families and intimate relationships.

With books and multimedia installations she facilitate sensitive, immersive spaces inviting the audience to contemplate their own personal history and motivate them to speak out and find the courage to share it with others.
