Hans Wijninga

Hans Wijninga is a photographer curious for exceptional techniques, such as ambrotypes, a technique widely used for a short time in the middle of the 19th century. The photographer makes the light-sensitive plate on site and must then take and develop the photo in a short period of time in a “field darkroom”. Wijninga not only discovers the technology, but also creates exceptional images that are “new” because the ambrotype requires you to look closely and then discover a lot.
