INDIVIDUAL PORTFOLIO CHECK
A relaxed and open talk about your portfolio and a talk about your possibilities to study at Base for Experiment Art & Research. We can give you more information about the ins and outs of the program and we can advice you how to prepare well for the assessment.

– Applicants must have completed a pre-university education or higher secondary school education, or the equivalent.
– Certain language requirements apply for this English-taught programme.(we also also can teach in Dutch)
– Applicants must have successfully completed the entrance examination. During the entrance examination, we assess your chances of completing the study programme successfully.
PREPARATORY COURSE ART & DESIGN
Do you want to prepare for BEAR? register for the Art & Design Preparatory Course.
The admission committee consists of teachers and students from BEAR. You have to work a full day on some assignments. We have lunch together at the department. During the interview you have to present your homework assignments and a portfolio of your own work. This could include drawings, pictures, photographic series, animations, websites, furniture, clothing, films, ideas, posters, etc. You will have enough time to discuss the ideas behind your work. Also bring along designs and sketches that provide insight into your creative process. The admission committee reports their advise to the examination committee.
RESULTS AND VALIDITY
You will be notified about the results within three weeks. Admission is only valid for the study programme for which you have enrolled. The admission is only valid for the academic year directly following the entrance examination.
