Dionne van Dun (1994, Eindhoven, The Netherlands) is a visual artist, mainly working with the medium of graphics.
Through the medium of graphics I investigate the value and the power of rehearsal. This medium confirms that we as humans are not machines. When I create multiple prints, they’ll never be exactly the same, there will always be differences in the details therefore each print retains its unique value. Repetition doesn’t mean an automatic build-up of the image and doesn’t always have a positive result: it can also make the image monotonous. It carries a fascinating capacity that requires consideration in both experiencing and viewing; it can also serve as a narrative.
