When you go climbing in the Alps, you are bound to encounter its unpredictability aside from your own unlimited wishes and often very limited physical capabilities. It creates a kind of edge. It puts a lot of stress on my senses to be perched at great altitudes alongside my climbing buddies – for whose safety I am responsible.
I am constantly looking for balance, while everything seems to be moving. I move when I look for the way up, a way onwards, and while it seems to have taken a lot to get me there, it is nothing compared to the huge displacements required to shape those rocks. Yet I feel as aware of its great movement as my own.
Homeostasis is a series of photos about my search for that balance, that equilibrium.
